Terms and
Conditions
of the agreement between
Jane Maw Cornish and Mary Kehoe on the one hand and, on the
other hand, their guests on the tour (hereinafter referred
to as their customers)
Jane Maw Cornish and Mary
Kehoe (jointly and severally)
WARRANT to their
customers that they take all reasonable care in the following:-
- Estimating the cost of
the tour - some months in advance - taking into account
reasonable allowances for variations in exchange rates,
air fares and costs within Greece and in notifying
customers as soon as reasonably practical of any
significant changes that could affect the price of the
tour.
- Ensuring that flights are
booked by an ABTA registered travel agent with a
reputable airline
- Ensuring that the
organisation, Anassa Travel, used in Greece to
provide the coach, the coach driver, and to book the
hotels is, as far as can be reasonably determined,
reliable, responsible and, within the context of Greek
culture, safety conscious.
- Ensuring that all
information that they provide to customers is reasonably
accurate and up to date.
- That in the event of
something going wrong in connection with the flights,
their customers' rights against the airline and travel
agent are unaffected by this agreement and that in the
event of something going wrong in connection with the
coach or hotels, the customers' rights under Greek law
against the organisation or organisations used in Greece
are unaffected by this agreement.
THEIR CUSTOMERS AGREE :-
- That if they cancel their
holiday after having booked, Jane Maw Cornish and Mary
Kehoe may deduct any expenses that have been incurred
that it has not been possible to recover from the monies
paid by the customer, and that depending on the time of
cancellation, there may be no balance to return to the
customer.
- That when in Greece they
will as far as practicable be responsible for their own
safety and in particular be aware that Greek standards in
road safety, in domestic plumbing and electrical
fittings, in the avoidance, guarding or lighting of
hazards and in the avoidance of slippery and uneven
surfaces in the streets and archaeological sites are not
the same as in the UK and that they will notify Jane Maw
Cornish or Mary Kehoe as soon as possible of any hazards
of which they become aware associated with the coach, or
hotel or any other matters of concern to do with the
tour.
- The customers agree that
they will ensure that they have valid travel insurance
including cancellation, medical and repatriation and to
give details of their insurance to Jane Maw Cornish or
Mary Kehoe.
- That the liability of
Jane Maw Cornish and Mary Kehoe to their customers is
limited to taking all reasonable steps to avoid problems
or in helping to solve them or mitigate their effects if
they occur and that they have no liability for loss,
damage, death, injury or delay arising from events beyond
their control, such as but not limited to:- strikes,
riots, civil commotion, war, government action, weather,
earthquakes, volcanic action nor from unforeseen closure
of sites, museums, roads or airports.
- That by taking part in
this holiday they will be bound by these conditions
